Dr. David Metreveli - Ph.D. Aeronautical Research & Engineering

Short Biographical Data

Dr. David Metreveli was born on August 19, 1961 in Moscow, Russia. Since 2004 he is a permanent resident of Canada.

He is a graduate of the Georgian Technical University, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, with M.Sc. degree in
Aircraft Engineering in 1983 and of the Moscow Aviation Institute with Ph.D. degree in Aero-Space Research and Engineering in 1991. He was awarded an Aero-Space Research Engineer qualification from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1990.

For 10 years Dr. Metreveli worked as an Aero-Space Research Engineer in the former USSR Aero-Space Industry , for ten years as an Aero-Space Research and Design Engineer in Israel Aircraft Industry and for two years in the USA as an Aircraft Structural Design Engineer, with the BOEING Company, Everett Division, WA. Currently Dr. Metreveli is working in Canadia Aerospace Industry.

Dr. Metreveli's main specialization is the Next Generation Aero-Space Flight Vehicle Crews and Passengers Emergency Rescue Systems Development and Design. He is an author of a new unconventional approach to the Flying Public Safety problem in commercial aviation and an author of a new High-rise Rescue Technology via the Vertical Take-off and Landing Aerial Rescue Platform.

The results of his scientific research in the field of a new emergency rescue systems development are presented in 30 published scientific works and patents. In July 1997 results of scientific research in the above-mentioned fields were presented by Dr. Metreveli at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ, USA, and in October 1997 at the Space Systems and Concepts Division of NASA Langley Research Center at Hampton, VA, USA.

Dr. Metreveli has more than 30 years experience in the flight vehicle scale flying and desktop models development and manufacturing fields. He is a "Master" of a Modeling Rocket sport of the former USSR, collects the flight vehicle scale models and enjoys art and painting.
